4Foto Flip Friday – August Theme: “Yellow”
Welcome to a brand new edition of Foto Flip Friday – a selected showcase of photos dredged up from my bountiful photo archives and whittled into a pretty little “flip/flop” postcard each Friday. And to add to the fun, each month I’ll challenge myself to unearth a series of images that meet a monthly theme.
This month’s theme is very simple: YELLOW
Why yellow? I dunno, just seemed like a simple place to start (and I can go many months choosing “red”, “blue”, “white”, etc.) 😉 In any case, I’ve dug through my photo archives to come up with my favorite images that predominately murmur “YELLOW” (do mouseover to see a short message on the back of each postcard).
(simply mouseover the image and watch the *magic!)
* Well o.k. for those viewing in IE, not so much a magical “flip” as a fading change. If you want to see the flip/flop, try viewing in Chrome or Firefox.
And here’s another example of “YELLOW” from my recent 2 year romp ’round Asia:
All this month I’ll be rummaging through my archives for more “YELLOW” images, so check back next Friday to see another flip/flop postcard or two from my past.
And meanwhile – if you’d like to submit a “yellow” photo of your own, just upload it to an online source (e.g. your blog, Facebook, Flickr, etc – make sure the privacy settings are set to “public”), and post a link to it in the comments below.
Who knows? I might just whittle it into a flip/flop digital postcard here!
There’s something about the color of yellow that just makes me want to smile! My yellow photo is of a psychedlic Hugo Chavez in Managua, Nicaragua.

Nice one, Anita! Let’s see if I can whittle it into a postcard one Friday this month.
OK, that Lennon car was beautiful!! What a trip you got to see it and a great shot of it too. Love the bamboo one also, excellent shot, can’t wait to see more of your photo’s!!
I found one of my favorite “yellow’s”! it a beautiful fire going in the Cob oven I built with clay from my basement, straw from a good friends farm and free sand from the local rock yard (can’t use the tons of beach sand we have here 🙁 (salt)
