2Foto Flip Friday – September Theme: “Children of the World” (Week 2)
Welcome to a brand new edition of Foto Flip Friday – a selected showcase of photos dredged up from my bountiful photo archives and whittled into a pretty little “flip/flop” postcard each Friday. And to add to the fun, each month I’ll challenge myself to unearth a series of images that meet a monthly theme.
This month’s theme showcases a few of the many miniature cuties I’ve met in my travels:
Children of the World
This is the 2nd week of the “Children of the World” theme and I’ve unearthed two more images from my travel photo archives – both from my (lifelong dream-come-true) visit to the pyramids in Egypt. (do mouseover to see a short message on the back of each postcard).
(simply mouseover the image and watch the *magic!)
* Well o.k. for those viewing in IE, not so much a magical “flip” as a fading change. If you want to see the flip/flop, try viewing in Chrome or Firefox.
And here’s yet another sweet angel:
All this month I’ll be rummaging through my archives for more “Children of the World” images, so check back next Friday to see another flip/flop postcard or two from my past.
And meanwhile – if you’d like to submit a “Children of the World” photo of your own (in landscape format, min. 700 px. wide), just upload it to an online source (e.g. your blog, Facebook, Flickr, etc – make sure the privacy settings are set to “public”), and post a link to it in the comments below.
Who knows? I might just whittle it into a flip/flop digital postcard here!
Hi Dyanne, we met last night at Mexicano Taco. Weren’t the tacos wonderful! What a treat to have the tortillas made right in front of you. The couple that owned the stand were so adorable telling us how they met, while she was making the tacos. What a find, I hope they do well. So nice meeting you Dyanne, I’ve always enjoyed reading your blogs, and of course your sense of adventure. Till next time, Maureen.
Thanks for stopping by TL Maureen – yes indeed, those tacos at the wee Mexican kiosk were amazing! I had one of each too (con queso y con carne) along with a glass of the “atole” (the warm, sweet corn drink). I took photos and will be publishing a post on it here – including the recipe for the “atole”.
Glad you and your husband are enjoying your new life here in Cuenca – good for you for likewise opting to have a grand adventure here in Ecuador!
