2Foto Flip Friday – October Theme: “Blue” (Week 5)
Welcome to another edition of Foto Flip Friday – a selected showcase of photos dredged up from my bountiful photo archives and whittled into a pretty little “flip/flop” postcard each Friday. And to add to the fun, each month I’ll challenge myself to unearth a series of images that meet a monthly theme.
This month’s theme is… the hues of sky and sea – the color: BLUE
And for this week’s selections, we had to go to (literally) the opposite ends of the earth. First to a tiny archipelago sitting out in the middle of nowhere (in the Atlantic): (Do mouseover to see a short message on the back of each postcard.)
(simply mouseover the image and watch the *magic!)
* Well o.k. for those viewing in IE, not so much a magical “flip” as a fading change. If you want to see the flip/flop, try viewing in Chrome or Firefox.
And now – dipping below the Equator and all the way ’round to the other side of the globe, to that HUGE continent “down-under” – Australia:
And that’s a “Blue” wrap! 5 weeks of blue, time to start a new round of Foto Flip Friday, and choose a new theme for the month of November.
Any ideas for a new photo theme to challenge me? I’m all ears. Yet another color perhaps? Gold? Green? “Polar Bears”? (um, on second thought, I don’t believe I have a single bear image, much less from the Arctic). In any case, do post a note in the comments with any theme ideas you might have, and I promise to consider any and all.
Ha, Ha! LOVE what you have done with the postcards, Dyanne! Have you had any of Monica’s tacos recently?
Hugs,
Kathy
Yep, Kathy, the digital flip/flop postcards are fun to whittle (not to mention keep my penchant to blather to a postcard-sized minimum) 😉
And yes, I try to head to Monica’s each week, but… I must admit, since she taught me how to make them – I make both kinds often here at Casa Dyanne.
