0Foto Flip Friday – February Theme: “MARKETS” (Week 2)
Welcome to a brand new edition of Foto Flip Friday – a selected showcase of photos dredged up from my bountiful photo archives and whittled into pretty little “flip/flop” postcards each Friday. And to add to the fun, each month I’ll challenge myself to unearth a series of images that meet a monthly theme.
For this, the 9th consecutive month of Foto Flip Fridays, I’ve chosen to highlight one of my favorite travel pastimes: wandering amid exotic markets wherever I land. These include not only local craft markets, but also bustling fresh food markets, as well as stray street vendors offering most everything but (and sometimes including) the kitchen sink!
So let’s get started with February’s FFF theme: MARKETS
(Do mouseover to see a short message on the back of each postcard.
Simply mouseover the image and watch the *magic!)
First we have a glimpse into a tiny country that many folks have never even heard of:
heh, heh, those who visit TL often take note:
Just for fun, I tweaked the “flip” to right/left instead of up/down for a change. 😉
* Well o.k. for those viewing in IE, not so much a magical “flip” as a fading change. If you want to see the flip/flop, try viewing in Chrome or Firefox.
And for our 2nd entry, another peek at my first trip to Thailand:
All this month I’ll be rummaging through my archives for more “Markets”, so check back next Friday to see another flip/flop postcard or two from my past.
And meanwhile – if you’d like to submit a “Markets” photo of your own (in landscape format, min. 700 px. wide), just upload it to an online source (e.g. your blog, Facebook, Flickr, etc – make sure the privacy settings are set to “public”), and post a link to it in the comments below.
Wouldn’t you like to see your own travel memory flip-floppin’ here as a digital postcard?
