0Foto Flip Friday – February Theme: “MARKETS” (Week 4)
Welcome to a brand new edition of Foto Flip Friday – a selected showcase of photos dredged up from my bountiful photo archives and whittled into pretty little “flip/flop” postcards each Friday. And to add to the fun, each month I’ll challenge myself to unearth a series of images that meet a monthly theme.
For this, the 9th consecutive month of Foto Flip Fridays, I’ve chosen to highlight one of my favorite travel pastimes: wandering amid exotic markets wherever I land. These include not only local craft markets, but also bustling fresh food markets, as well as stray street vendors offering most everything but (and sometimes including) the kitchen sink!
So let’s get started with February’s FFF theme: MARKETS
(Do mouseover to see a short message on the back of each postcard.
Simply mouseover the image and watch the *magic!)
As this is the final week of “Markets” pix, I’ve thought extra hard about just what images to share here. Thus my first flippin’ postcard is actually a potpourri of *7* different “market” photos – from arguably the most market-centric corner of our fair Planet: Asia:
heh, heh, those who visit TL often take note:
Just for fun, I tweaked the “flip” to right/left instead of up/down for a change. 😉
* Well o.k. for those viewing in IE, not so much a magical “flip” as a fading change. If you want to see the flip/flop, try viewing in Chrome or Firefox.
And for the grand finale of our market images, nothing would do but the grand-daddy of all markets – the one, the only…
Th-th-that’s a wrap for “Markets”. Plenty more where these came from, but those will have to wait til… possibly a new round of “Markets” next year?
Do tune in next Friday to see what new Foto Flip theme I’ve chosen for March.
