2Foto Flip Friday – March Theme: “WHITE” (Week 2)
Welcome to a brand new edition of Foto Flip Friday – a selected showcase of photos dredged up from my bountiful photo archives and whittled into pretty little “flip/flop” postcards each Friday. And to add to the fun, each month I’ll challenge myself to unearth a series of images that meet a monthly theme.
We haven’t had a monthly color theme in awhile (not since last August’s “YELLOW” and October’s “BLUE”), so for March I’ve dipped again into the photo paint bucket to highlight a new color.
March’s FFF color theme is: WHITE
For this week’s twin Foto-Flips, the focus is back on my adopted home here in Ecuador. And what could be more appropriate for an Ecuador “White” theme than – why the ubiquitous Panama hats, of course!
(Do mouseover to see a short message on the back of each postcard.
Simply mouseover the image and watch the *magic!)
* Well o.k. for those viewing in IE, not so much a magical “flip” as a fading change. If you want to see the flip/flop, try viewing in Chrome or Firefox.
And here we have a close up of some of the beautiful Andean handicrafts – a splash of color on a snow-white blouse:
All this month I’ll be rummaging through my archives for more “White” images, so check back next Friday to see another flip/flop postcard or two from my past.
And meanwhile – if you’d like to submit a “White” photo of your own (in landscape format, min. 700 px. wide), just upload it to an online source (e.g. your blog, Facebook, Flickr, etc – make sure the privacy settings are set to “public”), and post a link to it in the comments below.
Who knows? I might just whittle it into a flip/flop digital postcard here!
Hi Dyanne, things are begining to warm up here (finally).
Not yet Spring
I know what you mean Ted, I grew up amid frozen cornfields in the midwest each winter. That’s what I like best about my new home here in Cuenca – the weather is very temperate, and pleasant year-round.
Then again, the change of seasons has it’s magic, I wish you daffodils and tulips pushing up soon!
