0Foto Flip Friday – June Theme: “Red” (Week 4)
Welcome to a brand new edition of Foto Flip Friday – a selected showcase of photos dredged up from my bountiful photo archives and whittled into a pretty little “flip/flop” postcard each Friday. And to add to the fun, each month I’ll challenge myself to unearth a series of images that meet a monthly theme.
This month is a FFF anniversary of sorts – one year ago today (June) I launched the first ever Foto Flip Friday, with a theme of “Follow Your Dreams“. What with 12 consecutive months of photo themes, the truth is and I’m kinda running out of ideas here (suggestions most welcome!). That plus, I rather like the notion of using just a single color for a monthly theme as it invites images of a wide variety of subjects. Furthermore, as we’ve only so far used the color “Yellow“, “Blue“, and “White“, there’s still plenty of colors we’ve not yet covered. So, without further ado…
This month’s FFF theme is RED
For this month’s final round of “red”, I’ve chosen a mix of images from arguably one of the most photogenic countries on the Planet. First a simple spot of red… (do mouseover to see a short message on the back of each postcard).
(simply mouseover the image and watch the *magic!)
* Well o.k. for those viewing in IE, not so much a magical “flip” as a fading change. If you want to see the flip/flop, try viewing in Chrome or Firefox.
Next – a (somewhat terrifying) memento of my visit to the White Temple in Chiang Rai shortly before I left Asia to move here to my new home in Ecuador:
And finally… Though there are hoards of folks who might well disagree – sorry Chiang Mai, but “it’s not you, it’s me”:
Th-th-that’s a wrap for “Red”
Tune in next Friday to see what new Foto Flip theme I’ve dreamed up for July.
