0So What’s the TravelnLass Up To TODAY?
I recently ran across a most brilliant new notion for we bloggers to share our current status. A back door into the “behind the scenes” if you will. A perpetual “Wassup” in our day-to-day lives. As rarely are any of us able to post up-to-the-minute, live reports, a separate “now” page is the next best thing.
Succinctly dubbed simply the “/now” Movement and initially inspired by Derek Sivirs (a frequent TED Talks speaker and author of no fewer than 34 books), the idea is to create a “NOW” page to post our current position on the globe (especially handy for we travel bloggers who are often on the move), as well as our present projects, passions and “wanna-do” dreams. Not only is it handy for our readers to get to know us a bit better and see what we’re presently up to – but there’s an added bonus:
Publicly dropping my “To Do” list here on TL keeps me accountable – a way of prioritizing what’s important to me. A handy list to keep me focused on my main goals (yes, even we dodderin’ retirees have them in spades – who knew?) 🙂 In short, a good antidote to “Shiny Object” syndrome (my own personal nemesis!).
So would you like to see what’s on my current To Do list?
I’ve set a permanent link to it in the little “NOW” button waaay up there in the tippy top of this site (next to the “ABOUT” and the “CONTACT” links). So you can check it periodically to see what’s new.
But for now – here’s a straight link to it: What’s the TL up to – right NOW!
And should you too, favor creating your own “now” page (and getting listed among the swiftly growing bunch that already have) – Derek has posted all the details HERE.
