2Once Upon a Time… The Adventure Began!
Yup, it’s “Once Upon a Time” time again. When we rewind and review a TL post or three that’s been buried among the deep dark halls of the TL archives.
I’m presently away from the keyboard – off on another adventure. This one a doozy: 6 weeks wandering footloose among the Balkans and Turkey (the latter that is, IF they don’t go staging another gubberment coup).
And while I maaaaaay check in with a pic or two posted on Facebook or Instagram, I thought I’d prep a few posts here that I can auto-schedule and publish with but a click on my phone from… Germany or Austria or Slovenia or Croatia or… wherever I might happen to be at this moment.
With near 300 posts (nearly a half MILLION words!) here in the TL annals, no doubt there’s plenty of posts you’ve never even seen, or at least long forgotten. So hop into your jammies kiddies, and settle down for a series of TravelnLass bedtime stories.
This episode of TravelnLass’ blast-from-the-past offers not one, not two, but a whole handful of my very earliest TL posts. A collective glimpse back to those heady days nearly 6 years ago as I was about to blow the U.S. of A. popsicle stand and take my “Great Leap”.
The first ever TravelnLass post nearly SIX YEARS ago: And so it begins – my greatest travel adventure yet!
Eenie-meenie-miney-moo – why I chose to buy a one way ticket to Vietnam: Narrowing Down the Expat Options…
3 months til blast-off, and already I’m tossing stuff into my backpack: Packing Practice
Yikes! Less than 3 days to go: 72 Hours and Counting…
And the final day when I flew the U.S. of A. coop (5 full years ago!): Whew! I’m on my way!
Then you might want to subscribe to my email list so you’re sure to catch my next one.
(trust that I’ll not clog your precious inbox – I generally only post but once a week.)
Can´t wait to hear about your new adventure!
I’m now nearly 3 weeks into my Balkans/Turkey trip now Ilene (presently in Zadar, Croatia and loving it) and already I have MANY new tales to tell.
Stay tuned on Facebook for stray videos and pics (like today’s amazing pic of my dirty clothes churning away at the laundromat!). No doubt it will take me weeks/months to post all the pics and stories after I return to Cuenca in October.
