2Once Upon a Time… Do You Have What It Takes To Be a (happy) Indie Traveler?
Yup, it’s “Once Upon a Time” time again. When we rewind and review a TL post or three that’s been buried among the deep dark halls of the TL archives.
I’m presently away from the keyboard – off on another adventure. This one a doozy: 6 weeks wandering footloose among the Balkans and Turkey (the latter that is, IF they don’t go staging another gubberment coup).
And while I maaaaaay check in with a pic or two posted on Facebook or Instagram, I thought I’d prep a few posts here that I can auto-schedule and publish with but a click on my phone from… Germany or Austria or Slovenia or Croatia or… wherever I might happen to be at this moment.
With near 300 posts (nearly a half MILLION words!) here in the TL annals, no doubt there’s plenty of posts you’ve never even seen, or at least long forgotten. So hop into your jammies kiddies (you know, the ones with the purple unicorns), and settle down for a fun little TravelnLass bedtime story.
This episode of TravelnLass’ blast-from-the-past is from waaay back in March, 2011 (and you even get to take a quiz!):

(trust that I’ll not clog your precious inbox – I generally only post but once a week.)
.. auto schedule? That sounds nice Dyanne, maybe I should see if I can code something like that into my blog software. I could write up posts in advance like I normally do and just log in, click a button and the draft is posted. Hmmmm.
Hope you are enjoying the Balkan area and Turkey. Look forward to hearing about it.
Well I didn’t auto-schedule these posts Ted (though there’s a bevy of (free) plugins that will do that easily). But I did pre-peck a bundle of drafts, and with the WordPress app on my phone, I can simply login and click “publish” whenever I like. I know you like to code, but nowadays there’s really no need for it. Just about anything you want to do can be done via a free or very low-priced app.
And yes, trust there will be pleeee-enty of new TL tales to tell from my marathon romp through German, Austria, Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia-Herzagovina, Montenegro, Turkey, and even a split second revisit to Greece.
